This inspection was conducted to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in NPDES WW Permit No. NCG551100. A summary of the findings and comments noted during the inspection are provided in the enclosed copy of the inspection report. The Compliance Evaluation inspection was conducted by Division of Water Resources staff from the Asheville Regional Office. This inspection was conducted to determine if the system is being operated and maintained in compliance with General permit no. NCG550000. The homeowner, Ms. Gerry Davidson, was present during the inspection. The home is occupied for approximately half of the year. This wastewater system is evaluated and maintained yearly by Water Management of NC and was last evaluated on February 9, 2021. The system consists of a septic tank, a pump tank, 3 peat modules, and UV disinfection. The discharge pipe is located on the stream bank close to the home and a small discharge was observed during the inspection. The following deficiency was noted during the inspection: 1. Annual effluent sampling has not been conducted. The effluent should be sampled as required by the permit and at a time when the system is in use. NCG551100 17 (Cont.)
