Amy,
Cyndi asked if you would mind issuing the 401 for this project (07-0468). There
should be a condition in the 401 that states that the forebay of the wet detention
basin will be redesigned so that it comprises approximately 20 percent of the total
wet detention basin volume.
Thank you,
Annette

Yes, we will "revise" our forebay area to meet this requirement. We would accept
the conditional approval. Thanks.

David,

Amy Chapman
I have received your additional stormwater application materials and
they are in compliance with the NC DWQ BMP Manual, with the exception of
the undersized forebay in the wet detention pond. The proposed 2,844 cu
ft forebay is less than 3 percent of the total volume of the pond
(119,115 cu ft). The BMP Manual requires that the forebay have a volume
that is approximately 20 percent of the total basin volume.
We can issue the 401 Certification with the condition that this design
problem be corrected. Please advise if that would be acceptable to you.

The original executed O&M agreement should have been placed just inside the
report book. Unfortunately, the submittal to you was made directly by our
wetland consultants, Carolina Wetlands, and not us. They couldn't provide us
with a copy of their transmittal letter. At any rate, we did make a copy of this
document for our records. I will send this out via FedEx together with the wet
pond worksheet and Swale worksheet. Pleased be advised that we aren't seeking
credit for the grassed swales as we have already more than meet our water
quality requirements with the pond and the limited runoff (<12o impervious area)
for the park. Yes, we are more than anxious to get our 401 certification for
this project. Upon receipt of these items will you signoff on our stormwater
management plan in order for us to move forward on the 401 certification? Please
advise.
Respectfully.

Hey David,
I can tell you're anxious to get this one approved! I just wanted to
point out a few things:
First, we cannot accept submittals via email. Please mail or FedEx.
Second, I am not able to locate your signed and notarized O&M agreement
for the proposed wet detention pond. If I have missed it, please let me
know.
Thanks,
Annette
