The following are our responses to your comments: Comment #1: Please provide an overall drainage map depicting all pipes along with topography. Response: A map of the outlet drainage areas has been provided. Comment #2: The Neuse buffer appears to be drawn from the centerline of the stream rather than top of bank Response: The buffer was originally taken from the top of bank. The top of bank line has been shown on the plan. Comment #3: Please explain why you have thick ground cover listed fora 55 foot Zone 1 vegetation. This will mature to forested over the long term. Thus a weighted average of Zone 1 and Zone 2 vegetation types should be used. Response: Per our meeting on 7-26-07 it was agreed that this was thick ground cover and the level spreaders are ok as designed. Comment #4: Please include construction sequencing and installation instructions for the level spreader in your plans.. Response: The construction sequence on sheet C2.01 has been revised to clarify when level spreader system should be installed. Per our conversation on 7-26-07, I have removed Level Spreader #2 and show releasing the flow to the wetland finger at non-erosive velocities. I investigated new locations for level spreaders but due to topography no locations seemed practical. I have shortened the high flow bypass channel for Level Spreader #1 to release to the wetland well outside the buffer at non-erosive velocities. End of Comments I trust this information will be sufficient for you to complete your review. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns or if you require any additional information. Thank you for your help with this matter.
