Yes, thank you. The ORC has done a fantastic job of keeping the effluent in good condition and
compliant.
Unfortunately we continue to get complaints from two individuals — one which is not our
customer and doesn't live in the subdivision. They are bypassing DEQ now and have directed
their complaints to the Stallings Town Council & State Congressman. We have added Calcium
Nitrate to two pump stations to eliminate H2S in the collections system, we have piped three
lift station discharges to the bottom of the wet wells and we have piped the influent discharge
below the water line at the EQ tank to reduce potential odor from splashing in addition to
adding a fogger spraying odor control. In my opinion we can't resolve the complaints because
the plant is not the cause for them. They are really upset that we are expanding the plant and
have asked for it to be demolished entirely. I'm not sure where they think wastewater would
go in that scenario.
The expansion is nearly complete, but startup had to be postponed until January since we
didn't want to put a new train in service during the holidays. I will notify you when that is
done and welcome your visit to see the new facilities. In the meantime, please do not hesitate

If I recall, the past several site visits, effluent from this facility looked good without filters. This should improve
performance of the UV disinfection.
Have you had any more odor complaints at this site? All has been quite on my end.

The new filters at CWE were placed in service on Wednesday, December 15th. I didn't want to

As fate has dictated many things this year, the filter start up has been delayed yet again. Our
contractor had a staffing issue that delayed the work until next week. I will send a follow up
communication when I have confirmation that the filters have been started. That way we
aren't continually giving you an estimate.

Roberto,
I am reaching out to let you know the status of the plant upgrades at the CWE WWTP. As you
know, we have been bypassing tertiary filters during the project as we installed new disc filters
to the plant. The filters are expected to go back on line next Wednesday, December 1st. If
something happens and that changes, we will let you know.
In addition, the new treatment train which, we are calling Train 8, should be ready to go in
service the middle of December. I wanted to let you know in case you needed to schedule a
visit to the plant or make any changes in your records. Engineering certification will be sent to
Raleigh upon competition.
If there is any additional information you need, please let me know.
