Performance Annual Report 2013
I. General Information
Facility/System Name: Town of Troy Wastewater Treatment Plant
Responsible Entity: Town of Troy
Person in Charge/Contact: Benny Dennis

Description of Treatment Process and Collection System:
The wastewater treatment plant is permitted for 1.2 MGD. The plant is an extended aeration system
with dual oxidation ditches running in series, two fmal clarifiers and ultraviolet disinfection. The sewer
Collection system is comprised of 6" 8" 10" 15" 18" and 21" clay cast iron and pvc sewer piping.
The piping system is predominately 6" and 8" diameter pipe with brick and precast manholes.
The Town Of Troy owns a sewer jet machine capable of washing 600 L.F. of sewer collection pipe.
II. Performance
Wastewater Treatment Plant
The WWTP has performed essentially to the standards of a plant with sand filtration installed after
fmal clarification. NPDES monitored pollutants have been discharged well below permitted limits.
The WWTP Director reported the equalization lagoon dam was leaking, it was estimated as much as
3 million gallons may have been realized to Densons Creek. The leak was stopped and the dam
repaired.
Sewer Collection System
Public Services Dept. reported a spill at the Wadeville Rd. lift station. An estimated 900 gallons was
spilled some of which reached surface waters. The PS Dept. cleaned 25,000 ft of sewer line.
III. Notification
This report will be put on public display at the Troy Town Hall. Copies will made available to any user
or customer upon request. Notice of the availability of the report will be placed in the April water
billing.
IV. Certification
I certify under penalty of law that this report is complete and accurate to the best of my knowledge. I
further certify that this report will be made available to the users or customers of the Town of Troy
system and that those users will be notified of its availability
