Dear Mr.Harris:
On April 19,2021 NC DOT submitted a request to withdraw the 404/401 approval for extending and
relocating part of Highway 84 in Union County,North Carolina. Reason for the withdrawal was stated as
being lack of adequate funding for the foreseeable future.
This letter serves as the official notification that the project has been withdrawn per NC DOT's request,
effective date of April 20,2021,the date of receipt by the 401 permitting agency,DEQ-DWR. Should this
project receive adequate funding in the future and need 404/401 approval, a complete PCN resubmittal and
approval will be required.
