Inspection Summary:
The Town of Peachland Collection System is a deemed system that is a satellite to Anson County where its waste is
treated. This system has adopted the grease ordinance used by Anson County and is available at town hall. Grease
education is distributed on water bills twice yearly and is included on the budget letter sent out to customers. Maintenance
records and inspections are logged and were readily available at the time of inspection. Several maps of the overall system
were also available.
There have not been any sewer spills in the past three years. Any issues or complaints are documented at town hall, and
work orders are generated. The spill response plan included necessary details such as 24-hour contact numbers and vendor
information.
There is only one pump station in this collection system. It was secured with restricted access, had proper signage, and
was well maintained. The communication system was functional, calling following the audio and visual alarm being triggered
during the inspection. There is a permanent generator at the pump station which is checked weekly in addition to being
serviced by Hyatt Equipment monthly. During the inspection Hyatt Equipment happened to be at the station running the
generator.
