The site is in a rural portion of Haywood County SE of Canton where Haywood Bridge 382 was washed-out on August 17,2021 by TS Fred.

The purpose of the work is to replace a permanent and reliable bridge access to properties in SR 1835.

The original bridge is gone,so the work will involve reconfiguring the temporary roadway,drilling new bridge piers,pouring caps,placing rip rap and then setting the new bridge deck in
place.Final bridge approaches will be constructed and the roadway paved.Then the temporary detour on site,adjacent to the existing new bridge will be pulled.Track-hoes,dumps and
other conventional heavy construction equipment will be used.
