DESCRIPTION OF TREATMENT PROCESS:
The City of Dunn A.B. Uzzle Water Treatment Facility utilizes alum and polymers to
flocculate and settle particulate in its water treatment process. This sludge is thickened
and sent to a holding lagoon for storage until it is land applied as biosolids on permitted
farm sites.
II. PERFORMANCE:
The City of Dunn A.B. Uzzle Water Facility had no reportable violations in 2009.
III. NOTIFICATION:
This report is a matter of public record and will be filed in the City of Dunn, North
Carolina Administrative Office and made available to users or customers of the system.
Additionally, this report will be published in The Daily Record (local newspaper) and run
on the City's local government cable channel.
IV. CERTIFICATION:
I certify under penalty of law that this report is complete and accurate to the best of my
knowledge. I further certify that this report has been made available to the users or
customers of the named system and that the users have been notified of its availability.
