Rios 501 Washington Street Durham, NC 27701 Project Name: Williams Corner Coleen H. Sullins, Director Division of Water Quality Chatham County On July 19, 2007, the 401 Oversight/Express Permitting Unit of the Division of Water Quality received a request from Mr. Kevin Yates of John R. McAdams Company, regarding a project known as "Williams Corner" for acceptance into the Express Review Program. This letter advises you that your project will be accepted into the Express Review Program once the following items are received: ~. 1) The application fee of $2,000.00 [for 401 Water Quality Certification with major impacts and Stormwater Management Plan Review], made payable to the North Carolina Division of Water Quality]; 2) Five (5) complete and collated copies of the PCN Application; 3) One (1) completed copy of the Addendum to the PCN Application; 4) Five (5) copies of all site plan information pertaining to this project (please refer to the Addendum http://h2o. enr.state. nc.us/ncwetlands/appadd5.pdf); 5) Three (3) copies of the stormwater management plan and all required information (refer to http://h2o.enr.state.nc.us/ncwetlands/documents/MicrosoftWord-PCN_Addendum_ 10_01 _06_000.pdf). Please be aware that under Condition No. 4 of GC 3631, DWQ can require stormwater management plans for developments that have, or are anticipated to have, 30% or greater of impervious surface area. Furthermore, it is DWQ's policy that areas of concentrated development within a project must treat stormwater runoff. Stormwater management shall be designed to remove 85% TSS according to the latest version of DWQ's Stormwater Best Management Practices Manual at a minimum. Additionally, in watersheds that are classified as Nutrient Sensitive Waters (NSW), the Division shall require that extended detention wetlands, bio-retention areas, or detention ponds followed by forested filter strips be constructed as part of the stormwater management plan. Thank you for your attention to this matter. The clock for this project will not start until receipt of the completed application package and required fee are received. If the impacts are greater than indicated on the Initial Interest Form and/or the services are different, you may be required to remit an additional fee.
