Upon further inspection of the pipe, a suspected cut of the existing pipes at this location by installation of a fiber optic
line, was not present and the pipes are in good shape for their age. NCDOT will not undertake the authorized pipe
replacement. This pipe replacement project was authorized under SAW-2021-0190, project ID 20211313 Ver 1 and
CAMA/Dredge and Fill GP no. 8390-B. Bridge Maintenance forces do plan on placing the authorized riprap around the
inlet and outlet ends of the pipe.
