The following items are included in this package: • A check for $480 to cover the review fee • This cover letter with a brief project narrative • Application form FTA 10-14 (with certifications). • Topographic site maps (data obtained from USGS) • Street level maps The work to be performed in this project includes the construction of the new Southern New Hanover County (NHC) Regional Pump Station with two (2) self -priming centrifugal pumps, fiberglass pump enclosure, precast wetwell, precast flow meter vault, electrical building, standby engine -generator, and miscellaneous yard structures and site work. Installation of influent force mains consisting of approximately 3,900 linear feet of 8-inch sewer to connect three existing pump stations to the Southern NHC Regional Pump Station. Installation of discharge force main consisting of approximately 9,700 linear feet of 16-inch sewer from the new Southern NHC Regional Pump Station to the CFPUA Motts Creek Pump Station No. 69. The project will include pipeline installation using both open cut and trenchless methods. The project generally includes, but is not limited to, all clearing, grading, erosion control, cleaning, testing, and all other work necessary to furnish, install, test, and place into service the Southern NHC Regional Pump Station and its associated influent and effluent force mains in New Hanover Comity, North Carolina. Design of this infrastructure was based on the Preliminary Engineering Report prepared by Black & Veatch in July of 2021 (PER). The PER provided recommendations for routing options based off the future expansion of Carolina Beach Road and the type of pump station in order to remove flow from the Mott's Creek Pump Station where the flow will be re -pumped and ultimately conveyed to the Southside W W TP.
