Dear Mr. Whaley,
On December 1, 2021 staff of the NC Division of Water Resources (DWR), Water Quality
Regional Operations Section (WQROS), inspected your subject farm.
As a result of the findings during the inspection, you are hereby notified that, having been
permitted to have a non -discharge permit for the subject animal waste disposal system pursuant
to 15A NCAC 2T Section .1300, you have been found to have overapplied PAN to one or more
waste application fields as outlined in your Certified Animal Waste Management Plan
(CAWMP) and Swine Waste System General Permit No. AWG100000 that you are covered to
operate under.
Violation 1:
Overapplication of PAN to field "Pivot" for the period of winter 2020-2021
Required Corrective Action for Violation 1:
Comply with maximum allowed PAN loading rates as outlined in your CAWMP
If you wish to provide additional information regarding the noted violations or discuss overall
compliance, please respond in writing within thirty (30) business days after receipt of this
Notice.
