2-Description of process
The Town of Erwin Wastewater Treatment Plant # 2 uses a biological process
With mechanical floating aerators to treat the intermitted flows entering the plant
Chlorination and dechlorination have been installed at the plant by using chlorine tablets and dechlor
tablets to control fecal coliforms as ofJanuary-14-2008. There is no sludge
The Town of Erwin and Harnett County are in the process of
finalizing plans for Harnett County to assume the operations of this facility.

The Town of Erwin / SwiftWastewater Treatment Plant # 2 experienced very low flows during the spring
summer and fall of 2007 due to the drought.
Violations for fecal coliforms May 07=300/100
June 07=410/100
October07=900/ 100
December 07=2787/100
There was no discharge for July 07-August-07-and November 07
There were no other violations
