Our firm is processing this application on behalf of Tim Parsons, to remove
approximately 839 cubic yards of material from Lake Norma, Iredell County, North
Carolina (332 Catalina, Mooresville, NC 28117).
We have changed the way we are unloading spoils. We will now be unloading thru the
50' Buffer (see attached map). There is no vegetation within their buffer; therefore, there
will be no disturbance of the buffer. We have also changed the spoils site location (see
attached drawings and map).
A copy of the PCN (per Ms. Graham's instructions), Duke Approval Letter, pertinent
drawings, and spoils site maps are enclosed for your use.
To access the project: I-77 North to Exit 33, left. Proceed to Alcove, left. Proceed to
Catalina, right.

Energy lake. Duke Energy can authorize the proposed project at this time, provided the work is completed
as described in the approved application. The project must be completed within eighteen (]$) months
from the date of this letter of approval. Please post the enclosed notice aR the shoreline so that it will be
visible from the lake and notify our office when the work begins so periodic inspections may be conducted.
Do not eac~eed the adjusted dredge cut. You moat meet all local and DENR requirements at the spoil
sits You must meet all of the buffer guidelines at Farsoa's lot. Follow all dredging guidelines. Taper
sides 3 to I slope. No equipment is to be moored on the islands.
NOTE: APPLICANTS MUST IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY DUKE AND STOP ALL WORK IF
