A new lift station facility will be designed and constructed at 103 Crossland Drive to replace the existing Celeste Circle lift station. The new lift station will have a firm capacity of 2.96 MGD. The Project involves the demolition of the existing structure and utilities located on the proposed lift station site, decommissioning of the existing lift station located at 6000 George King Rd, and abandonment of the existing force main and gravity sewer downstream of the connection point, and any incidentals required for the completion of the work. The flow is transmitted via the Celeste Circle Force Main (CCFM) by a newly rerouted 6,425 linear foot 14-inch force main and discharging to a manhole near the South Durham Water Reclamation Facility. Due to the unknown nature of future developments that will be served by the proposed Celeste Circle Lift Station and Force Main projects, we are submitting this permit application as a zero -flow permit (authorization to construct only).
