WASTE WATER REPORT
FY-2011
This report shows that the Town of White Lake Waste Water System is well and scheduled
improvements are complete and comply with all waste water collection and permit
requirements.
The Town of White Lake currently has 990 sewer connections; several of these are multiple
connections for businesses, motels, and campgrounds
During 2010 the Town ofWhiteLake sewer system was studied and determined to have
several areas in need of repair.
In 2011 we repaired the streets of Woodburry, Johnson, Clarkland Village, Tall Pine, White
Lake Drive and Carolina Avenue East.
The repairs made in 2011 have proven to be beneficial as we continue seeing significant:
decrease in the number gallons being treated at the waste water treatment pond.
In 2011 several point repairs were completed that helped in the reduction of infiltration into
the waste water system.
The Town of White Lake is constantly striving to serve our customers by providing the best
service possible at the most reasonable cost.
In 2008 Water/Wastewater rates were increased by 1.5% of the MEDIAN Household Income
for the Town to be eligible to apply for grant funding for a meter replacement project that
will help recapture revenues and minimize water Toss. THIS RATE HAS SUSTAINED THE
INCREASE IN PROVIDING THESE SERVICES FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS, THEREFORE THE
SEWER SYSTEM BASE RATE WILL NOT INCREASE IN 2012.
