I think that the HQW doesn't start until it crosses highway 70 on the east. They are discharging to the west which has
enough holding capacity in the swamps for the quantity they are proposing before it circles back around. If they
proposed pumping to the east, there would be issues, in my view. Right now they have a small pit that they discharge to
the west in the ditches, leading to the pond. The ditches to the east, in previous permitting, were deemed wet.

Thanks Brian,
It looks like the receiving stream for this facility is Thomas Creek (21-35-1-5) which is classified as SA;HQW. Does
everything look ok on their end to discharge into HQW?

This office recommends approval for this NOI NCG020993. There is a mistake on the NOI, but is inconsequential. See

Yea that works. I can't quite remember this one, so I'll have to take a look at the file.

New application for NCG02
App says discharge to wetland, or out the back of the site, which is a long way from Thomas Creek 25-35-1-5 SA HQW or
Fulcher Creek 25-35-1-5 SA HQW.
App says errantly that the pit will not be within 400'. Izzell said that was a mistake. The mine will not exceed 20'. 1 do not
think the size of the pit will be large enough to merit a cone of influence study.
What do you know? We can talk next week.
