FIELD VISIT FINDINGS- Date- December 5 2013 Remarks: No mitigation was required. Work has started at the site. Some fill had been placed into the drained easternmost pond. No temporary sediment and erosion control measures were in place in the immediate vicinity of the fill. However. there was a small stone check dam at discharize pipe in the westernmost pond. A stream had formed in the bottom of the pond sites and the fill located within the footprint of the upper pond was not in direct contact with the stream. There was no evidence of any of the fill being washed into the stream. There was no visible difference in the turbidity of the water in the upstream and downstream portions of the stream. Light rain had occurred in the area immediately preceding the site visit. III. CONCLUSIONS Date: December 6, 2013 In Compliance: Yes No If No, (i.e., out of compliance), describe concerns: Site appears to be in compliance with the NWP 27. However, USACE called both the permittee and the permittee's agent on 5 December 2013, to discuss the use of temporary erosion control measures at the project site. USACE also provided results of compliance inspection to representatives of the NC Department of Water Resources on 6 December 2013.
