NCG060391 Pepsi Bottling Ventures, LLC 390 Business Park Drive Winston-Salem, NC To Whom It May Concern: ATC Associates of North Carolina, P.C. (ATC), on behalf of Pepsi Bottling Ventures, LLC is submitting the Semiannual Storm Water Sampling Report for the above referenced site. One original and one copy of the certified Discharge Monitoring Report (DMR) is included in Attachment Cofthe report. Sincerely, ATC Associates of North Carolina, P.C. Gabriel Araos, P.E. Senior Project Manager Attachment: Semiannual Stormwater Sampling cc: Bill Peterson, Pepsi Bottling Ventures, LLC ATTACHMENTS i PYRAM 1 D ENVIRONMENTAL & ENGINEERING, P.C. September 30, 2020 Mr. Gabe Araos ATC Group Services, LLC 2725 Millbrook Road Raleigh, NC 27604 RE: Semi -Annual Stormwater Sampling — 2nd Half 2020 Pepsi Bottling Ventures, 390 Business Park Drive, Winston-Salem, NC Pyramid Project # 2020-189 Mr. Araos: As requested by ATC Group Services, LLC, Pyramid Environmental & Engineering, P.C. has completed the stormwater sampling and analysis for the referenced site. The location of the site is shown on the USGS topographic map presented as Figure 1. A site map showing the existing building and stormwater outfall locations is presented as Figure 2. As shown on the site plan, the site includes three outfalls. Stormwater from the west side of the facility flows to Outfall #01 on Business Park Drive. Stormwater from the east side of the facility flows to Outfall #02 and stormwater from the truck parking area on the east side of the property flows to a retention pond on the northwest side of the parking area. Water from the retention pond discharges to an overflow catch basin on the northwest side of the pond and drains northwest to a pond on the adjacent property to the north. Outfall #03 is the discharge point for the retention pond. The receiving stream for all stormwater run-off from the site is Sawmill Branch. Sample Collection and Laboratory Analvsis On September 17, 2020, Alan McFadden of Pyramid successfully collected stormwater samples from Outfall #01 and #02 during a representative rain event. Samples were not collected from Outfall #03 during this sampling event. Outfall #03 is the discharge pipe for the retention pond on the eastern portion of the site. No stormwater flow was occurring at Outfall #03 at the time of the sampling event on 09/17/20. The qualitative monitoring reports were completed for Outfall #01, and #02 by Pyramid and are included in Attachment A. The qualitative monitoring report describes the visual appearance of the stormwater run-off at the outfalls at the time of the sampling event. No unusual conditions were observed by Pyramid. The total event precipitation included on the qualitative form is from the Smith Reynolds Airport and was obtained from the North Carolina Climate Office, Weather and Climate Database. P.O. The samples were analyzed for oil & grease, chemical oxygen demand (COD), total suspended solids (TSS) and pH. The laboratory results of the stormwater samples are presented in Table 1, which is included in Attachment B with a copy of the lab report. As shown in Table 1, the detected concentrations of oil & grease, COD and TSS in the samples collected from Outfalls #01, and #02 do not exceed the benchmark values specified in General Permit NCG060000 and the laboratory pH readings were within the specified range of 6.0 — 9.0 specified in the permit. Pyramid also completed the stormwater discharge monitoring report for Outfall #01, and #02 as specified in General Permit NCG060000. The completed monitoring report is included as Attachment C. A representative of Pepsi Bottling Ventures is required to sign page two of the monitoring report and send the original and one copy to the address shown on page two. The next semi-annual sampling event will be performed between January 1 and June 30, 2021. The samples will be analyzed for the compounds as specified in the general permit.
