State protected species include freshwater bivalves: Triangle floater, threatened and Brook floater
endangered.
Since the nature of this project involves temporary impacts to the stream bed it is not expected that these
impacts will affect aquatic species. Even though suitable habitat exists in the subject stream for these
species, no detailed assessment of actual individual protected species occurrence was conducted.
