Avoidance and Minimization 1a. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts in designing project. The property owner worked with S &EC to delineate all regulated streams, wetlands and buffers on the property at the time the Stone property subdivision was developed. The City (applicant) worked with the owner and S &EC to identify the best crossing location that would still allow for the connection of the two existing gravity sewer lines and thereby removal of the pump station. The proposed crossing is located in an area with no wetlands, within a straight section of stream, and abovelavoiding a 10+ foot high cascading waterfall. 1 b. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques. Tree protection / silt fencing will be located around the construction corridor prior to installation of the sewer line to avoid non - permitted impacts to the stream and buffer. The contract will review weather forecast and stream conditions to avoid construction during potentially high flow periods. 2.
