By using the sewer demand flows of 120 gallons per bedroom per day as per State regulations, and using a number of 3 bedrooms per home, the residential wastewater flow demand was calculated as follows: (160 homes)(3 bedroomslhome)(120 gallons/day/bedroom)=57,600 gallons per day There is also a church in the annexation area, which has a seating capacity of approximately 165 seats. By using the wastewater flow demand of 3 gallons/seat/day as per State regulations, the wastewater flow was calculated as follows: (165 seats)(3 gallons/day/seat)=495 gallons per day In to the residences, there is a brick factory on Majolica Road with 55 people on the first shift, 3 people on the second shift, and 3 people on the third shift. Wastewater flow was calculated by using 25 gallons per person per shift as per State regulations. Therefore, wastewater flow was calculated as follows: First Shift: (55 people)(25 gallons/person/day)=1,375 gallons per day Second Shift: (3 people)(25 gallons/person/day)=75 gallons per day Third Shift: (3 people)(25 gallons/person/day)=75 gallons per day With a total wastewater flow demand from the factory of 1,525 gallons per day Therefore, the total wastewater flow that will be generated after this project is complete is 59,620 gallons per day.
