Any process unit failure, due to known or unknown reasons, that renders the facility incapable of adequate wastewater transport, such as mechanical or electrical failures of pumps, line blockage or breakage, etc.; or b. Any failure of a pumping station or sewer line resulting in a by-pass directly to receiving waters without treatment of all or any portion of the influent to such station or facility. 2 Voice mail messages or faxed information is permissible, but shall not be considered as the initial verbal report. Overflows and spills occurring outside normal business hours may also be reported to the Division of Emergency Management at telephone number (800) 858-0368 or (919) 733- 3300. The Town shall either replace the line in accordance with the regulations, reroute the line outside of 100-feet or abandon the well (with public water supply concurrence). Certification that the situation has been corrected shall be submitted to the Mooresville Regional Office, Surface Water Protection Section prior to allowing any connections upstream of the line of concern (Lateral B-2 on the record drawings). 2) A public easement has been obtained and the 4-inch line can only serve one home. No other connections shall be made to this line without prior approval of the Division. The Town is responsible for this 4-inch line segment. 3) A segment of 10-inch pipe (318 feet) was installed at .26% when the minimum requirement is .28%. A segment of of 8-inch pipe (134 feet) was installed at .37%. This deviation falls within our 10% tolerance policy, will achieve a velocity of 2 fps at half full and surrounding segments are well above the minimum. This flatter slope should not have much effect on the system operation. A variance is granted to allow the line between MH 6 - 7(10") and E7 - E8 (8") to remain as installed.
