Inspection Summary:
Coverage is recomended.
The facility primarily mixes fertilizer and ships fertilizer bags via train and truck.All materials onsite were solid and were
stored under storm resistant shelters or inside the warehouse/mixing facility. It was stated during the site visit that the liquid
fertilizer is no longer being mixed or stored at the facility and the equipment is scheduled to be removed from the site.
No drains are located inside the facility.
The site was very clean and no products were observed outside or spilled.
A containment system is present in the area wherethe fertilizer is loaded onto trains for shipping. Any loose fertilizer falls
through grates into containment. The facility is surrounded by gravel or earthen parking lots. The site is also very flat.
The issue noted is that filler lime is stored within 50 feet of the outfall location. It was stated filler lime is very neutral, but it is
unsure how this would affect stormwater.
Additionaly, changes have been mdde to management since the application was submitted and the Facility Contact is no
longer Todd Long.
