The Division of Water Quality received the Year 4 Monitoring Report for the above-referenced
site, dated November 25, 2013.
The Year 4 monitoring report appeared to indicate that the site was continuing to progress in a
satisfactory manner. While the planted stems in one plot (Plot 2) did not meet the performance
standard, inclusion of two desirable volunteers species in the stern count allowed that plot to
meet the performance standard of 320 stems per acre. Stem counts across the remainder of the
plots have been consistent, and in some cases have also increased, presumably with the addition
of desirable naturally - regenerated species.
We look forward to the continued progress of the site. Since 2014 is year 5 for this project,
please plan to schedule a site visit in September - October in order to close out the site.
