This is done in order to reduce end checking and blue stain defects. A pumping system drawing water directly from the Catawba River will be used to "rsprinkle the logs.. Only river water or recycled river water from our catch basin 1 . 11'•and percolator pond will be pumped on the logs. ;� The surplus water which runs off the logs will be caught first in the catch basin t•, ,before either percolating into the soil or running off into the A bark or river., Any s�•'other solid contaminates contained in this run-off water will be trapped in the catch y .babih.
