B. 3d. Explain the purpose of the proposed project:
The purpose of this project is to stabilize 435 linear feet of unstable streambanks. Log j-
hooks, bank grading to a stable 3:1 slope, brush toe revetments, and a permanent native
woody riparian buffer will be installed for long-term stability.
B. 3e. Describe the overall project in detail, including the type of equipment to be used:
Tracked excavators will be used to grade stream banks, install in - stream structures and
bank revetments, and perform general site grading. Skid steers and dump trucks will also
be used to move earth and materials. Work will be completed in the dry by working from
the top of bank and utilizing a pump around system.
A qualified stream restoration contractor, North State Environmental, will be doing the
grading work.
