This inspection was conducted as a Compliance Evaluation Inspection (CEI) to ensure compliance with permit requirements and conditions. At the time of inspection facility appeared to be well operated and was producing a good quality effluent. We wish to thank the operating staff for assistance regarding this inspection. Permit is for the continued operation of an existing 0.005 MGD extended air wastewater treatment system that discharges into Curl Tail Creek which is classified as WS-IV water in the Yadkin -Pee Dee River Basin. Facility consist of Barscreen, Aeration Basin, Two (2) Aeration Blowers, Clarifier, Chlorine Contact Chamber with Tablet Chlorine and Dechlorination, and Effluent Air Diffuser. Effluent discharges into Curl Tail Creek via outfall #001. Review of compliance history was conducted from October 2020 through September 2021. Violations were noted for Daily Maximum Limit Violations of Fecal Coliform on June/2021, July/2021 and August/2021. At time of subject inspection facility appeared to be well operated. Effluent at point of discharge was clear with no visible suspended solids. There was no foam or floating solids at the point of discharge.
