Maple NC 27956 Phone 252-232-6065 Fax 252-453-3721 Email: Rod.Holley@CurrituckCountyNC.gov In response to NOV-2021-PC-0389, we have been taking corrective actions to the noted infractions during the 7/28/21 Inspection process. Monitoring Well #4 has been repaired and securely locked. The Backwash pumps for Phase 1 and 2 are on site with 2 spare Backwash pumps on standby. Basnight Construction has been to the plant to schedule repairs to the mechanical barscreen, remove and reinstall the Backwash pumps and submit a quote to recondition the spray field by starting with removing 1 foot of sand and replace with quality filtering sand. I have also inquired about upgrading the plant with some sort of grit chamber before the barscreen, if possible, to remove undesired material before reaching the barscreen channels and entering the FEQ tanks. We will update as repairs are completed as well as a timeline of when we expect the repairs to be completed. Monitoring well constituents are still a priority in the compliance process and as soon as the plant repairs are made to get effluent quality back we will resume with corrective actions to meet compliance standards in the Monitoring Wells also. We will notify DEQ prior to making any changes within the plant treatment or disposal process. If you have any questions or concerns please contact us. Thank You, Rod Holley Wastewater Superintendent Trainee Rod. Hol ley©currituckcountync.gov Rev'd 5/22/21
