Section D: Summary of Finding/Comments (Attach additional sheets of narrative and checklists as necessary) The facility utilizes coal to produce steam, that manufactures electrical power. There were two permitted outfalls (001 & 002) for this facility. Outfall 001 has not discharged since 1998. When it does discharge, it is from a 225-acre cooling pond and only discharges during extreme weather conditions. Outfall 001 is made up of the following: metal cleaning wastewater (boiler cleaning), internal combustion (IC) turbine site water, and effluent water from a Reverse Osmosis Filtration System (3 gallons per minute). Outfall 002 was non -Contact Cooling Water, and flows continuously. The permit also includes a Stormwater addition, with sample points SW1, SW2, and SW3. SW1 data will be sent in by March 2010. SW2 was allowed to have representative sampling for both SW2 and SW3.
