We have been without one of our blowers (blower # 3) because it is being rebuilt. Sometime in early September the belts broke on Blower #4 the operators assumed the blower was running correctly since the motor was running, they didn't realize the belts were broken until our DO was low. When I looked back on the trend chart we had low DO for several days. Once we figured out that the belts were off the motor causing the blower not to run, we fixed the problem and our DO went back to normal, Since we have four blowers total and we had two out of service that caused our DO to drop, causing the Wastewater not to go through the nitrogen cycle. Causing us to be out of limits for that week, once the DO was corrected the NH3-N went back to normal within days. To prevent this from happening again all of the operators were trained on how to tell if the motors and the blowers are running. The operators were also shown where to looks to see if the belts are on correctly. i: del-,..-.-----,-- on S Lload James T.
