all of the non -discharge options available? Please provide
regional perspective for each option evaluated.
Spray Irrigation: Not desirable due to potential impact on
groundwater
Connection to Regional Sewer System: Not available
Subsurface: Not desirable due potential impact on groundwater
PART IV - EVALUATION AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The receiving stream, which is classified Class SA, appears to
be tidal and saline at the proposed point of discharge. It is
anticipated that the discharge should have little adverse
impact on water quality.
It is recommended that a permit be drafted containing standard
effluent limits and monitoring requirements for backwash
discharges from water treatment plants. If no significant
adverse comment is received, it is recommended that a permit
be issued for a period of five years.
