S . flow estimates indicate that streamflow is small ( 0.1 cfs) during 7Q10 periods relative to the design flow of the treatment facility (6.2 cfs) . Streamflow below the Henderson outfall, therefore, is comprised almost entirely of Henderson effluent. The DEM gathered field data during similar flow conditions ( .2 cfs), which was used to calibrate a level C QUAL-II model. These data indicated a high rate of deoxygenation (1.5 base e/day) and a relatively low rate of reaeration (3.0 base e/day) characterizes the stream below the outfall. These factors are largely responsible for the stringent limits applied to the Henderson WWTP.
