I wanted to follow-up regarding the generator pump we observed down-stream of Permit Site 4. Per the conditions listed in the 401 certification, please see item 5 and 11 (attached). There are no riparian buffers on-site and the generator was operating outside of the stream bed and bank. However, due to the proximity of the generator to the stream an alternate upgradient location should be selected during drilling and dewatering. The alternate location should be noted in the NPDES records, along with any spills or regularly performed maintenance. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks- Ryan Conchilla, PWS Environmental Specialist II 401 and Buffer Transportation Permitting Branch (DOT Divisions 7+8) Division of Water Resources, NC Department of Environmental Quality Ryan.Conchilla@ncdenr.gov From: Young, Joshua M <jmyoung@ncdot.gov> Sent: Tuesday, November 2, 2021 11:48 AM To: Conchilla, Ryan <ryan.conchilla@ncdenr.gov> Subject: R-3421B Rockingham Bypass Ryan, Here is the coordinates for the site meeting on Wednesday at 9am.
