Finding/Comments (Attach additional sheets of narrative and checklists as necessary) Wastewater at this facility is primarily filter backwash water. The backwash water is pumped into a settling basin where the solids settle to the bottom. When the basin reaches capacity, the supernatant water is discharged to a drainage ditch which flows to the receiving stream. Sludge from the settling basin is removed when needed by pumper truck and hauled to the Maxton WTP to be dewatered on drying beds and then disposed of in the Robeson County Landfill. Review of DMR's and lab reports for this facility revealed no permit violations or descrepencies.
