The following information is provided in response to your comments dated June
21, 2007. Included in this submittal is the following:
1. 5 sets of construction plans
2. 5 sets of calculations
3. USGS Quad Map
4. Wake County Soil Map
Responses:
1. Sheet 2 is a plan sheet showing the locations of the level spreaders and
bioretention basins. The typical level spreader detail is included on the erosion
control detail sheet (sheet 16). Sheet 5 shows enlargements of the level spreaders
at a scale of 1"=30'. Bioretention details are shown on sheet 6.
2. The Myrica cerifera (wax myrtle) species was replaced with Ilex Verticillata
(winterberry) in the bioretention planting plans on sheet 6. Rip-rap channels with
velocities less than 2.0 feet per second were designed to assure acceptable
velocities into the bioretention areas.

Maintenance activifles shall be performed as follows:

Look for:
• Clogged inlet or outlet pipes.
• Trashldebris in the box.

• Sediment in forebay and along level spreader

• Trash and/or leaf buildup.
• Scour, undercutting of level spreader.
• Settlement of level spreader structure (no
