We allow it to be used by the DOT and I think this technology would meet the nutrient removal conditions in the Tar-Pamlico NSW rules. I will be working on creating criteria that would enable use of this technology in other situations similar to yours where there is very low nitrogen contributions. See chapter 4 in the attached document for the specifications for using the scour hole. Call if you have questions. Also, please check your slope calculations tomake sure the 1Ocfs/secQ1O will not be exceeded as specified in the DOT manual. ces%20Tnn|bnx%20'%20W1arch96202008.odf Boyd DeVane N[ Division of Water Resources 1617 Mail Service Center Raleigh, N[27699-1617 919-807-6373 Fax: (gIg) 807-6494 NEW Website: Notice: E-mail correspondence to and from this address may be subject to the North Carolina Public Records Law and therefore may be disclosed tothird parties. I'm leaving now but will look at them Monday. I have received permission to not require the level spreaders on the site as long as we can show that diffuse flow will occur. I was leaning toward using preformed scour holes.
