The Division of Water Resources, Asheville Regional Office, would like to schedule an inspection to determine if your sy stem is operating in compliance with your NCG550000 General NPDES permit. Due to recommended guidance related to the COVID19 pandemic, to ensure your safety and the safety of the inspector, we will attempt to conduct portions of the inspection primar ily by phone, mail and/or email. Please send information/records regarding the following items to the email listed below:  Is access to the discharge pipe maintained? Does the system discharge regularly?  If your system discharges, do you have annual sampling records?  Do you annually inspect the septic tank? Has it been pumped in the past five years? An on-site visit to visually inspect your system is also necessary to ensure system compliance. Please note, you will not need to be present for the on-site portion and if you are present, interaction with the inspector is not necessary. If inspectors are granted access to your property, face masks will be worn in accordance with Covid19 guidance. Should you wish to be present during the inspection, a minimum of six feet of separation will be maintained at all times.
