HomeMy WebLinkAboutNCS000020_Permit Correction Email_20211104Young, Brianna A From: Young, Brianna A Sent: Thursday, November 4, 2021 4:01 PM To: Ballard, John G; Beaver, Gregory T; Tollie, Lori White; McCoy, Suzanne; McDermott, Andrew Cc: Rollins, Travis B; Ceva, Celeste Marie; Georgoulias, Bethany; Young, Brianna A Subject: RE: [External] McGuire SW permit NCS000020 Good afternoon, Mr. Beaver previously stated "We do not need a parameter for Oil & Grease and we do not need Outfall 001 as a choice under "Outfall and Sampling Location" as it flags us as missing data when we validate. But we do still need a parameter for New motor oil usage under outfall 008." Our database has been updated to reflect the following: 1. Outfall 001 has been removed. It appears this may have been added as a placeholder in our database to reflect what parameters required monitoring, but the database was never updated to reflect actual outfalls. 2. Motor Oil Usage has been added to Outfall 008 in our database. 3. Oil & Grease — In the past, the Stormwater Program used TPH for this parameter; however, as that confused permittees when requesting what analyses for the lab to perform, we now use the term that is in our eDMR system: (Non -polar) Oil and Grease. This is the language used in current permits. Please let me know if you see any other corrections that need to be made or if you have any other questions. Please note these corrections may take 24 hours to appear in the eDMR system. Good afternoon, I wanted to update you on the submittal of the Stormwater Fall Sampling Event. Greg did try and upload the DMR but we ended up uploading the pdf version. Based on the requirements by our permit and what data we were able to upload in the DMR, we did not want to submit an incorrect DMR with missing data or data fields. So in turn the pdf was uploaded instead since it contains all of the required and correct data. Hopefully this will give us time to work with the State and get the DMR corrected for the next submission which will be the 2022 Spring Sampling Event. Please let us know if you have any questions. However, there were 1 or 2 parameter codes that were not active in our electronic database. I've submitted a ticket to get those added, however, it won't be until next week that this is done. I will send a follow-up email when I have been able to add those parameters to the permit. Please let me know if you have any questions in the interim.
