Good afternoon Colleen, Many thanks for the review of my application. 1. The special geometry of the garage which matches the house provides a very practical approach to moving air into both mid -level and top level of the building. This involves keeping the ductwork as close to the left corner of the structure viewed from the rear. At that location I added two 24 inch square openings through the 8 inch reinforced concrete block wall. These lower edges of the openings are 30 inches above grade. In the building directly above these openings I have provided two 15in diameter holes through the 7in reinforced concrete garage floor to allow air to be distributed. For these structural provisions to be effective the plan for the HVAC unit was to be in the place shown in the drawing allowing heating and cooling to be directly connected to the building. I can send pic if it would be useful 2 I apologize for the confusion over area. The correct number is 6 sq ft. I called this morning. If there is a good time to talk please let me know Regards Roger Roger Lawrence PE CEM LFIEEE www.rglsolutions.com Cell voice and text 252 241 8450 I will attempt to give you answers to your very focused questions. 1 From: Cohn, Colleen M [mailto:colleen.cohn@ncdenr.gov] Sent: Monday, November 1, 2021 5:30 PM To: Roger Lawrence Subject: RE: [External] project is 20211322, Version 1. Good evening Roger, I'm reviewing your application and require some additional information: 1. Can you please provide more detail as to why the HVAC unit cannot be moved outside of the riparian buffer? 2. Can you please clarify the square footage requested for the HVAC unit? The application requests both 9 sq ft and 12.7 sq ft. I tried calling, but the voicemail system did not state your name, so I did not leave a message in case I had dialed the wrong number. Thanks!
