Gentleman,
I’m sorry but I still need a little more clarification. Our standard condition is that the construction corridor (LOD) cannot be within 10 feet of the top of streambank. I see that
you have noted the waterline will be at least 15’ away from the bank, but I can’t tell whether the LOD will be at least 10’ or not. If not, then in that location is where I need a
statement to say trees within 10 feet of streambank will be cut and not grubbed and that work will be conducted all in one day and immediately stabilized. Please also confirm that
any stockpiling of trench material and all equipment access will be done on the opposite side of the trench from the stream (limit risk to the stream).

Ken
We finally caught up with Sue today. She would like for you to send her a plan showing the following:
1. Show trench 3’ deep for water line See Plan C-3.9 for revised profile and distance away from top of bank See plan C-6.1 for 15’ minimum trench offset dimension. Move it over within
the clearing limits as much as we think is possible. As Shown puts the water main on the corner of the utility easement on residential lot as far from creek as possible. A construction
easement will likely be needed with resident to accomplish the alignment as shown with the limits of disturbance outside of utility easement.
2. Show disturbed area boundaries and make a note that trees that need to be taken down within the disturbed area will be cut and note grubbed. Note provided on C-6.1
3. Show silt fence between trench area and top of bank. Silt Fence Shown on C-6.1
4. Make a note that developer will closely monitor contractor while in close proximity to top of bank. Note provided on C-6.1
Let me know if you have any questions or if we need to look at anything further before resubmitting to Sue.
Thanks a lot,
Matt
