Contech Treatment and Detention System North
Operation and Maintenance Agreement
I will keep a maintenance record on this system. This maintenance record will be kept in
a log in a known set location. Any deficient system elements noted in the inspection will
be corrected, repaired or replaced immediately. These deficiencies can affect the
integrity of structures, safety of the public, and efficiency of the collection system.
The StormFilter system is defined as the proposed underground filter designed by
Contech, The Water Quality Storage is defined as the underground system which stores
the i inch rainfall event.
Important inspection and maintenance procedures:
Remove and properly dispose of sediment and floating debris accumulated in
drain inlet, outlet pipes and detention chambers. Sediment should be removed
from detention chambers when it exceeds 10% of the storage area,
approximately 0.3 feet deep. Use catch basin cleaning equipment including
vacuum pzunps.
- Proper disposal of sediment is required. It is least expensive if a nearby site
has been set aside for sediment. This area must be located outside of
floodplain. Persons responsible for disposing of sediment shall determine if
disposal site accepts wet sediment. The material may need to be dewatered
before disposal.
After the StormFilter system is installed, I. will inspect it monthly and within 24 hours
after every storm event greater than 1.0 inches. Annual inspections must be performed
by a qualified individual (PE, ASLA, or PLS) with the proper training. Records of
inspection and maintenance will be kept in a known, set location and will be available
upon request. Refer to the attached procedures prepared by Contech for additional
information.
After the underground water quality storage system is installed, I will inspect it quarterly
and within 24 hours after every storm event greater than 1.0 incites. Records of
inspection and maintenance will be kept in a known, set location and will be available
