A consultant filled out the PCN, signed my name to it, and sent it own. I thought I was going to be able to review it prior to it being sent out, but we may have gotten our wires crossed. I don’t think there are any major issues with the PCN (you might even prefer it to how I typically fill them out…), but I just wanted to let you know since it will look a little different than my typical submissions. I haven’t been involved with a project like this, where NCDOT is not really doing the work, so not sure how to best handle. In short, let me know if you need more information, or would prefer we redo the submission. The primary reason for notifying for this one was the potential for impacts (MANLAA) to bats, so I’m hoping it will be a relatively easy one to permit. We may have been ok not notifying, but I thought it would be best to do so. Finally, the consultant didn’t include our NEPA/SEPA document (CE) in the submission, so I attached it above. It contains the tribal coordination info and environmental commitments (trout moratorium, hellbender coordination, etc.). Thanks, Kevin Kevin Hining Division 11 Environmental Supervisor North Carolina Department of Transportation 828-386-7202 cell kjhining@ncdot.gov 801 Statesville Rd.
