Four Notice of Deficiencies were issued over the review period. The NPDES permit has a Chloride limit of 230 mg/I that will become effective on August 1, 2022. A review of the DMR's showed that the facility currently cannot meet the Chloride limit of 230 mg/I. The effluent discharge will need to be meet permitted limits of 230 mg/I by August 1, 2022. The facility is currently reporting flow from one backwash on the DMR. Total daily discharge needs to be reported on the DMR. During the recent upgrade Mag Meters were installed to measure effluent flow. Effluent flow meters are required to be calibrated annually with a maximum deviation of 10%. Grab samples are taken as required in the NPDES permit. The facility currently only samples the exchange softeners. Effluent samples need to be representative of the actual discharge and include the pressure vessels (PurolitePlus/9218) and the exchange softeners.
