On April 23, 2007, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your application for a CAMA/Dredge & Fill
permit proposing the expanding of the subject marina to construct 108 boat slips and additional infrastructure
at Pecan Grove Marina. As discussed during our phone conversation on June 4, 2007 the DWQ has
determined that your application is incomplete and requests the following additional information in order to
process your application. Therefore, unless we receive the additional information requested below, we will
have to move toward denial of your application as required by 15A NCAC 2H .0506 and will place this project
on hold as incomplete until we receive this additional information. Please provide the following information so
that we may continue to review your project.
Additional Information Requested:
1. Dissolved Oxygen (DO) Model
This Office requests a Dissolved Oxygen Model for the existing and proposed expansion of the marina.
The data that was provided with the CAMA permit application represents raw data collected from the
subject site. Please notify this Office if additional time is required to process data and run DO Model.
2. Application of Neuse Buffer Rules
Construction of the proposed upland marina will require the restoration of a 50 foot buffer around the
marina expansion in accordance with 15A NCAC 026 .0233 Neuse Buffer Rules. It is required that the
applicant receive Authorization Certification and Buffer Restoration Plans be submitted to this Office for
approval.
Please respond in writing within three weeks of the date of this letter by sending this information to Mr. Roberto
Scheller of the DWQ Washington Regional Office. If we do not hear from you within three weeks, we will
assume that you no longer want to pursue this project and we will consider the project as withdrawn.
