In accordance with North Carolina General Statute § 90A-37, the Water
Pollution Control System Operators Certification Commission is required to
classify all water pollution control systems, The Rating Scale for
classification of wastewater treatment facilities, found at 15A NCAC 8G
.0300, was adopted by the Commission to classify water pollution control
tia systems.
The Water Pollution Control System Operators Certification Commission has
determined that the subject facility is classified as a Grade 3 Biological
Water Pollution Control Treatment System.
As required by 15A NCAC 8G .0202 and your permit, you must designate a
Grade .3 or higher Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC) and a Back -Up
Operator with at least a Grade 2 certification of the appropriate type and grade
for this system. The designating of these operators must be at least 60
calendar days prior to wastewater or residuals being introduced into the
r - system. Please submit to this office by.. June 25, 2000 the projected date when
wastewater or residuals will be introduced into the system or complete and
return the enclosed designation form if certified operators -have already been
employed. Failure to designate a properly certified operator and back-up
operator constitutes a violation of the permit issued for this facility.
