Inspection Summary:
Inspection was in response to an application for coverage under the NCG13.
The facility functions as a transfer station. Locals will dump trash at the facility like at a conveniance center. MSW waste is
stored under a storm resistant shelter. C&D waste is stored outside on a concrete pad. All stormwater is captured via drop
inlets and routed to a retention pond.
Vehicle fueling is performed onsite. The gas tank is located under the storm resistant shelter.
It was observed that the facility has a litter problem. There were small pieces of trash/litter strewn thorughout the site and
accumulated in the stormwater pond. Facility contacts stated litter is picked up by a third party monthly. It is suggested this
be inclreased to biweekly to prevent stormwater contamination and as a part of the pollution prevention and good
housekeeping permit requirement.
