Inspection Summary:
Inspection was in response to an application for coverage under the NCG20. Coverage is recomended.
The facility recycles electronic equipment. Most of the industrial activity takes place within the warehouse suite ocupied by
Blue Sky Solutions. Multiple dumpsters are stored outside in the loading dock area at the front of the facility. The dumpsters
mainly contain cardboard, steal, pallets etc. This area is also used for staging. There were several TVs that were to be
recylced stored in this area. There was a significant amount of broken glass on the ground. This should be monitored and
cleaned up as a part of stormwater pollution prevention and good housekeeping.
There are floor drains located inside the facility that are expected to be routed to sanitary sewer. This could not be confirmed
at the time of the inspection. No liquids/chemicals were observed to be stored inside the facility.
Blue Sky Solutions occypies a suite in a large warehouse facility. Determining an outfall sample point is difficult because
stormwater is comingled with multiple tennants. The facility has other tennants that are operating as roofing companies,
cabinet and racking companies, food truck kitchens,etc. The different warehouses are connected by concrete parking lots.
Blue sky solutions will sample stormwater from a drop inlet loated in the parking lot near the front of the facility.
There are two other active stormater permits within the warehouse facility: NCG050099 associated with Evergreen Packing
Facility and NCGNE1176 associated with UPS.
