NOTES:
1. FOR OPTIMUM RESULTS, A SOIL ANALYSIS SHOULD BE PERFORMED TO DETERMINE

2. CONSULT CONSERVATION OR ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER FOR A SOIL ANALYSIS AND FOR
RECOMMENDATIONS AND INFORMATION CONCERNING SEEDING, FERTILIZING, AND
ALTERNATIVES FOR VEGETATION.
3. THE ABOVE VEGETATION RATES ARE THOSE THAT DO WELL UNDER LOCAL CONDITIONS;

SEASONS, A MIXTURE OF TEMPORARY SPECIES IS ACCEPTABLE PROVIDED APPLICATION
RATES ARE NOT IN EXCESS OF THE TOTAL RECOMMENDED RATE PER ACRE.
5. APPLY SOIL NUTRIENTS AND AMENDMENTS PER SOIL ANALYSIS, OTHERWISE 750-1000
LEIS OF 10-10-10 FERTILIZER AND UP TO 2 TONS OF DOLOMITIC LIME PER ACRE.
6. MULCH AFTER SEEDING WITH 1.5 TONS OF GRAIN STRAW PER ACRE AND SECURE IN
PLACE WITH CRIMPING, TACKING AND/OR NETTING TO PROTECT SEEDBED AND
ENCOURAGE GROWTH.
7. DO NOT ALLOW TEMPORARY COVER TO GROW MORE THAN 12" IN HEIGHT BEFORE
MOWING, AS OTHER ESTABLISHMENTS MAY BE SHADED OUT.

2. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE APPROVED PLANS AND THE REGULATIONS, AND ORDINANCES OF CITY OF RALEIGH SEDIMENT AND
EROSION CONTROL MAY RESULT IN PENALTIES AND FINES.
3. CONTRACTOR SHALL AT ALL TIMES MAINTAIN ADEQUATE SAFETY MEASURES, ACTIVITIES, AND BARRICADES FOR THE PROTECTION OF
ALL PERSONS ON OR ABOUT THE LOCATION OF THE SITE.
4. ALL PERMITS (INCLUDING NPDES PERMIT), APPROVALS, CERTIFICATES, REPORTS AND NOTES, CERTIFICATES, AND SEED TAGS FROM
ALL SEEDING OPERATIONS SHALL BE PLACED IN THE INSPECTION BOX INSTALLED ON SITE.
5. ALL DENUDED AREAS TO BE PERMANENTLY SEEDED PER ATTACHED SEEDING SCHEDULE.
6. ALL AREAS NOT COVERED WITH PAVING, GRAVEL, BUILDING OR PLANTING BEDS SHALL BE SEEDED AS SHOWN IN THE SEEDBED
PREP. AND SEEDING SCHEDULE NOTES. (SEE THE LANDSCAPE PLAN FOR SPECIFIC LAWN AREAS).
7. INSPECT ALL S&E MEASURES AT LEAST WEEKLY AND AFTER EACH 1%" RAINFALL. IMMEDIATELY REPAIR ANY SEDIMENTATION AND
EROSION CONTROL MEASURE THAT HAS FAILED.
8. SHOULD THE CITY OF RALEIGH S&E DEPARTMENT DETERMINE EXCESSIVE SEDIMENT MAY BE LEAVING THE SITE, ADDITONAL
SEDIMENTATION AND EROSION CONTROL MEASURES MAY BE REQUIRED, INCLUDING A REVISED SEDIMENTATION AND EROSION
CONTROL PLAN.
9. A RE -INSPECTION FEE WILL BE ASSESSED SHOULD A RE -INSPECTION BE NECESSARY DUE TO INCORRECT INSTALLATION.
10. TOPSOIL STRIPPED FROM THE SITE IS TO BE STOCKPILED AND USED FOR BACKFILLING ALL LANDSCAPE ISLANDS, BEDS AND LAWN
AREAS. TOPSOIL IS TO BE SPREAD TO A DEPTH OF AT LEAST 6" AS SOIL IS AVAILABLE. MOUND LANDSCAPE ISLANDS TO 1' ABOVE
THE CURB AT THE CENTER OF THE ISLAND.
11. STOCKPILES SHALL HAVE A DOUBLE ROW OF SILT FENCE 10 FEET APART AT THE LIMITS OF THE APPROVED STOCKPILE AREA.
TREES AND GROUNDCOVER MAY BE REMOVED ONLY AS NECESSARY FOR THIS STOCKPILE.
12. UNTIL THE CITY HAS ACCEPTED THE COMPLETED CONSTRUCTION PHASE, THE CONTRACTOR RETAINS THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR
MAINTAINING THE S&E DEVICES. ADDITIONALLY, THE CONTRACTOR RETAINS RESPONSIBILITY FOR ENSURING S&E INSPECTIONS ARE
COMPLETED AT LEAST WEEKLY AND AFTER EACH 1/" RAINFALL FOR THESE DEVICES.
13. SITE STABILIZATION IS REQUIRED PRIOR TO FINAL APPROVAL AND ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY. GRASS UTILIZED AS
PERMANENT GROUND COVER MUST BE AT A MOWABLE HEIGHT THAT GENERALLY PROVIDES AT LEAST 80% COVERAGE THROUGHOUT
THE SITE, WITH NO LARGE BARE PATCHES OR EVIDENCE OF EROSION.

1. BEGIN INSTALLATION OF RETAINING WALL
2. CONTINUE SITE GRADING AND BRING SITE TO ROUGH GRADE. REMAINDER OF STORM
DRAINAGE SYSTEM TO BE INSTALLED AS SITE IS BROUGHT TO GRADE.
3. INSTALL TEMPORARY INLET PROTECTION AT STRUCTURES AS THEY ARE COMPLETED.
4. MAINTAIN ALL EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL MEASURES IN GOOD WORKING ORDER.
SILT FENCE, INLET PROTECTION AND OTHER SIMILAR MEASURES MUST BE CLEANED OUT
BEFORE THEY ARE HALF FULL. CLOGGED STONE FILTERS MUST BE REFRESHED/REPLACED.
SILT FENCE CAN NOT HAVE HOLES OR TEARS.
5. STABILIZATION IS REQUIRED WITHIN 14 CALENDAR DAYS OF COMPLETION OF ANY PHASE OF
GRADING OR INACTIVITY ON PROJECT SITE.
6. AS SITE IS BROUGHT UP TO FINAL GRADE, BEGIN BUILDING CONSTRUCTION, FINISH STORM
DRAINAGE INSTALLATION WITH INLET PROTECTION, AND STABILIZE DISTURBED AREAS WITH
PAVING OR VEGETATION, AS SHOWN.
7. WHEN CONSTRUCTION IS COMPLETE AND ALL AREAS ARE STABILIZED COMPLETELY, CALL
FOR INSPECTION BY STORMWATER INSPECTOR, 919-278-6461 EASTERN REGION
8. IF APPROVED BEGIN CONVERSION OF TEMPORARY BASIN TO PERMANENT STORMWATER
WETLAND. ALL UPSTREAM AREAS MUST BE STABILIZED PRIOR TO BMP INSTALLATION. SEE
SHEETS C3.0 AND C7.4 FOR POND DESIGN AND DETAILS.
9. WHEN CONVERSION IS COMPLETE AND WETLAND IS STABILIZED, CALL FOR INSPECTION BY
STORMWATER INSPECTOR 919-278-6461, EASTERN REGION.
10. IF SITE IS APPROVED, REMOVE ANY REMAINING TEMPORARY DEVICES, TREE PROTECTION/SILT
FENCE AND SEED OUT OR PAVE ANY RESULTING BARE AREAS.
11. SITE STABILIZATION IS REQUIRED PRIOR TO FINAL APPROVAL OF GRADING PERMIT AND
ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY. GRASS UTILIZED AS PERMANENT GROUND COVER
MUST BE AT A MOWABLE HEIGHT THAT GENERALLY PROVIDES AT LEAST 80% COVERAGE

12. AT A MINIMUM OF SEVEN (7) CALENDAR DAYS PRIOR TO SCHEDULING THE STORMWATER
FINAL INSPECTION, SUBMIT A CITY OF RALEIGH FORM 511 AND APPROVABLE BMP AS -BUILT
PLAN AND ENGINEER'S CERTIFICATION TO CITY OF RALEIGH STAFF FOR REVIEW AND WRITTEN
ACCEPTANCE. THE CERTIFICATIONS MUST BE ACCEPTED PRIOR TO A CERTIFICATE OF
OCCUPANCY BEING ISSUED.
13. IF APPLICABLE, ELEVATION CERTIFICATE SUBMITTAL, REVIEW AND ACCEPTANCE IS REQUIRED
PRIOR TO APPROVAL OF FINAL FLOOD PERMIT INSPECTION.
14. IF APPLICABLE, IMPERVIOUS SURVEY SUBMITTAL, REVIEW AND ACCEPTANCE IS REQUIRED
PRIOR TO APPROVAL OF FINAL WATERSHED PERMIT INSPECTION.
5. SCHEDULE A STORMWATER SITE INSPECTION ONLINE VIA PERM ITPORTAL.RALEIGH NC.GOV.
6. ONCE THE STORMWATER FINAL INSPECTION IS APPROVED, CLOSE THE GRADING PERMIT AND
OBTAIN A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION

THESE PLANS WERE USED FOR PERMITTING AND DO NOT REFLECT
CHANGE ORDERS OR MODIFICATIONS MADE DURING CONSTRUCTION.
